Privacy Policy

PriceNav AI tracks prices for products you choose and tells you when they change. This policy describes what we store to do that, and what we do not.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and display name, held by our authentication provider (Appwrite). Passwords are hashed by them and are never visible to us.
- Products you track. The URLs you submit, the retailers they belong to, and the prices we observe over time. Price history is public — it is shared across everyone tracking the same product.
- Alert preferences. Price targets, minimum drop thresholds, and which channels you want alerts on.
- Push subscriptions. If you enable browser notifications, the endpoint your browser issues us. It identifies a browser installation, not you.
- Billing. If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We store only your Stripe customer reference and whether the subscription is active. We never see or store card numbers.
What we do not collect
We do not track your browsing outside this app, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Third parties
- Appwrite — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Resend — delivery of alert emails.
- Anthropic — when a page’s price cannot be read from its markup, the page content is sent to Claude to extract the price. Retailer page content is sent; your personal details are not.
- Retailer websites — we request product pages from them. They see our servers, not you.
Emails we send
We email you when a price you track moves in a way you asked to hear about, and for account matters such as password resets. Every alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can switch alert emails off at any time from your profile. We do not send marketing email.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Doing so removes your account record, your subscriptions, alert preferences, notifications, push registrations and API keys, cancels any paid subscription, and deletes any products you tracked privately along with their price history. Price history for products tracked publicly is not deleted: it describes the product rather than you, carries no link to your identity, and other users depend on it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to its processing. Email support@pricenavai.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
PriceNav AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
